| The Temple Flower Project being coordinated by Kalpavriksh was inspired by the work being done by Madhumita Puri of the Society for Child Development , Delhi. The project involves the use of waste flowers being thrown away by hotels and temples to make natural colour powders. |

| In Pune, this work is being done along with the ASHA school for disabled children. Flowers from neighbouring hotels and temples are collected by the school on a regular basis. The chidlren have been taught how to seggregate and dry these flowers. The dried petals are then processed to make natural colour. |
