eCoexist will launch the UseMeAgain campaign in Kalyani nagar on the 26th January 2010 at 8.00 am in the Joggers Park of Kalyani nagar.

This campaign aims to make Kalyani nagar free of plastic carry bags.

It will promote the use of paper pouches, bags and cloth bags.

The UseMeAgain campaign encourages people to use their shopping bags again and again and reduce the plastic waste we generate in our locality. It will include local grocery stores, malls, schools, corporates, citizens groups and residential associations in the drive.

You are all welcome to join the launch of the campaign on the 26th Jan and volunteer for a few hours.

On the 26th, we will be approaching kiranawallahs, and residential societies with posters and free cloth and paper bags.

You are also welcome to support the campaign in an any other way you can. So far we have recieved sponsorship from the Young Indians group - we look forward to other donors as well.

After the event on the 26th eCoexist will be coordinating a sustained effort to raise awareness through education sessions in schools, creating supply groups for alternatives and helping societies establish systems of reuse.
