eCoexist was invited to speak at the World Parks Congress, 2014 held in Sydney Australia. This conference is held once in ten years and looks at the status of Protected Areas (such as National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries) and also at other ways in which Nature is protected.
I spoke on Sacred Natural Sites in India at a session hosted by the Cultural and Spiritual Values of Protected Areas ( CSVPA) group. The talk addressed the question of ‘What makes a place sacred’? and How does a natural site continue to be considered sacred even as culture changes…
eCoexist also supplied cloth bags to events at the conference.
